Public libraries in various countries are increasingly involved in e-lending practices. Thus far, these practices are largely based on contractual agreements between the parties concerned rather than on a copyright exception or limitation.
An e-book policy for libraries in Europe [EBLIDA Position paper] Society is on the brink of major changes. The transformation of media and of the information market is one of the biggest challenges for our society. It is an opportunity as well as a threat for Europe.
