LIBRI aims help develop and implement local strategies embedded in libraries and increase the effectiveness of the integration of third-country nationals (TCN) at regional and local level.
The general objective of TELL is to massively reach out to, and train librarians in using the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) in order to implement the Council of Europe Recommendation on Library Legislation and Policy in Europe. Moreover, TELL will also make the case for a possible action line focused on libraries within ESIF 2028-2035.
The project aims to create a safe space for immigrant women, age 25-to 50, inside libraries. Women coming from immigrant backgrounds are often at the receiving end of discrimination and inequality, and they struggle to find recognition and acceptance in the territories they reside in: this reality is particularly true in Italy. As libraries are first and foremost a place of democracy,they could play a huge role in helping immigrant women advocate for themselves and find new opportunitie
Project “Librarians as promoters of local democracy, development and resilience” is the supplementary part of the multicomponent EC Programme “EU4Dialogue: improving exchanges across the divide through education and culture” (hereinafter - EU4Dialogue) that supports educational and cultural initiatives fostering an environment of dialogue and people-to-people contacts across the divides in the South Caucasus and the Republic of Moldova.
