Croatian translation of key European Library Legislation Recommendation

EBLIDA announces the availability of the Croatian translation of Recommendation CM/REC(2023)3 of the Committee of Ministers to Member States on Library Legislation and Policy in Europe.

This significant document was officially approved in April last year by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

The Recommendation CM/REC(2023)3 plays a crucial role in reinforcing active citizenship within a democratic society. Beyond its cultural and educational implications, the document emphasizes the importance of libraries in promoting the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. It highlights the social dimension of libraries and their pivotal role in fostering a sustainable, democratic, and equitable society.

With this latest translation, the Recommendation is now accessible in seven languages: Croatian, Czech, Italian, Latvian, Portuguese, and Slovenian.

This multilingual availability underscores the commitment to making essential legislative and policy information accessible to a wider European audience.
