The Manifesto for the 2024 European Elections is now available in 17 languages
The “Libraries for a Sustainable Future: Manifesto for the 2024 European Elections” is now available in German, Greek, Latvian, Swedish, and Ukrainian!
The “Libraries for a Sustainable Future: Manifesto for the 2024 European elections” is now translated into Bulgarian, Italian, Portuguese, and Slovenian.

As of the close of business on Monday, January 22, 2024, the EBLIDA Secretariat has officially received 2 nominations for the position of EBLIDA President and 11 nominations for the 10 available seats on the EBLIDA Executive Committee.
EBLIDA is happy to announce that Mikkel Christoffersen will start on February 1, 2024 as the new Director of EBLIDA. He is the successor of Giuseppe Vitiello, who left EBLIDA in December 2023.
EBLIDA is excited to announce the soft launch of our new website. While we are in the final stages of development, we couldn’t wait to introduce you to a powerful new tool that’s ready for use: the E-PANEMA Portal of EU-funded, SDG-oriented library projects.

On 5th April 2023, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe approved the Recommendation on Library Legislation and Policy in Europe, drafted in collaboration with EBLIDA.
On Tuesday 21 March 2023 EBLIDA – along with PL2030 and IFLA, and other library representatives – participated in a hearing in European Parliament on the “Future of the European Book Sector”, organised by Tomasz Frankowski, MEP.
